里約奧運村與上周日正式開放。奧運村內(nèi)的3600間房間已做好迎接來自世界各地的運動員和隨隊官員的準備了。

奧運村村長、47歲的退役籃球運動員珍妮絲埃爾凱恩和里約市長愛德華多佩斯以及里約奧組委主席卡洛斯努茲曼共同剪彩，標志著奧運村的正式開啟。

不過據(jù)里約奧組委發(fā)言人馬里奧安德拉達介紹，目前還沒有俄羅斯運動員入住。早些時候，國際奧委會決定，不全面禁止俄羅斯運動員參加里約奧運會，讓國際單項體育聯(lián)合會自行決定是否對俄羅斯選手禁賽。

在奧運村開幕儀式后，里約奧組委主席努茲曼表示：這是國際奧委會和國際單項體育聯(lián)合會的決定，作為賽事組織者，我們歡迎前來參賽的全部運動員。我們對興奮劑一直是零容忍的。

奧運會將于8月5日至8月21日進行，殘奧會的日期則是從9月7日到9月18日。
